I need the OEM part number for a 6 bolt oil pump.
This is a facepalm, but a front case is an oil pump right?
When i purchase a front case, the oil pump will come with it?

when I shot my oil pump i had to replace the whole front cover because the oil pump gear that is driven by the timing belt rides in the front cover and the damaged gear wrecked the front cover.

there's really only 2 parts that actually do anything in the pump and its the 2 gears. it's a really simple device. once you get it apart you can easily inspect and replace what is needed. in my case i needed a gear and the front cover. I got the front cover used for about $100 with the gear. also there are straight cut gears and side cut gears. both are interchangeable if you have 2 matching gears

If you followed the link and read the thread, you would see that the part number given is for an assembled front case with oil pump gears.

So yes, it is "pretty much" the oil pump.

Effective dates, followed by their part number.

1/03/1989 - 3/04/1991 MD129347

1/05/1991 - 3/04/1992 MD175762

1/05/1992 - 1/05/1994 MD193384, MD327450

Curious to bring this back from the dead. Only reason i'm asking is because I'm building another motor now and it's been a few years. I went on JNZ's website and put in MD129347 and it came up with

CONDITIONAL INTERCHANGE [New Part# MD129347]

All the other part numbers come up with

CASE ASSYCYLINDER BLOC

Anyone know the reason behind this? Worst case scenario, I'll just email JNZ.

Thanks
