ok well this may or may not be the place for this but it is about the head so thats why i posted it here.
anyways im rebuilding a 1g head and want to make sure that i am not leaving anything out for the rebuild so i am turning to all the guru's of the site for some simple guidance.

ive got the head off and stripped, now i am in the process of ordering parts for the rebuild.
this is what i have so far:

Ferrera comp + 1mm over intake and exhaust
valve stem sills
3mm oil ported lash adjusters
valve springs
valve retianers
valve guides
280/280 cams
adj cam gears

after i order all the parts needed its time to go to the machine shop and hot tank, resurface, and get the valve job done.

now for what i need from you all is anything that i might have left out and also i looked on ebay for some valve guides and all i found were some bronze ones and was a little unsure of them so if anyone could let me know if they are any good or where i should go to look it would be greatly appreciated. this is my first build and i am determined to go BIG and RIGHT.

I dont understand why everybody and their uncle has to buy 280/280 cams now. You are going to me unhappy with them unless you plan to run the car at 8000 rpm all of the time. You might want to reconsider the 272/272 cams.

I bought my bronze guides from ebay too. A lot of ppl told me they run the same thing for years. I just had my cyl. head done and everything works fine.
I recomend not buying parts before you hit the machine shop with the cyl head you want to build and get quoted by the machinist, since the head my be warpped/cracked etc. This is my poor college student advice. If you got spare cyl. head cores/money to spend go for it.
If you are really picky...you could get new keepers for $60( Manley set)...might be even cheaper.
Also have the machinist look at your rockers...I had a bad one..and you don't want to rev up with a bad rocker.
Latter on add a good HG, and finish up with ARP hardware.
You should be all set!
