Alright I'm in the process of rebuilding my 1g head and 2g 7 bolt. I was going to go to Extremepsi and get a complete bottom end gasket kit that they offer for the 7 bolt, and then get the complete 1g top end gasket kit. That will work so far correct? Or am I missing something or can I not do it like that? What am I going to do about the timing aspect of it? I know on JNZ they have 1g timing stuff and 2g timing stuff.... What would I need?

as far as timing components on the head the only timing component is the cam gears which are all the same from 90-99 so your answer would be 2g timing components because your tensioner, idler pulleys are all bolted to your 2g block

Like you stated you need the bottom gasket set for the 2g and topend gasket set for the 1g. And as far as the timing set all you need to do is get the stuff for a 2g because your 1g cam gears arent going to change anything.
