I've never seen a 1g manifold in person .... but how much porting can be done to these? I would like to have a 2g mani, but they are really hard to find. How much can I port a 1g manifold in relationship to a 2g? And what parts of the 1g mani are most restrictive compared to the 2g?? Thanks.

well my car had the 2g mani stock .. I made the mistake of selling mine during my downtime because I had a custom mani in the works .. now I just want to go back to the stocker. Damn it sure sucks selling parts and then needing them later :thumbdown

I have a EVO III on my 91.

It should be a direct swap for a 2G, I had to grind the one corner just like you would with a 2G manifold. I also forgot that using a 1G on a 2G would require you to drill out the two outer most holes on the manifold to clear the two 10mm studs on the head.

ok cool. Right now all I want is a junkyard manifold to get the car running with and then I want to just order a brand new evo or 2g mani. I'm probably just gonna use a 1g for a week or 2 unless a local junkyard has a 2g there.
