This wire seems to go nowhere, I'm thinking it's for the tach. Can someone confirm what it is and where it goes?

Looks like the connector for the A/C Magnetic Clutch to me, i.e., not tach related.

What year of 1G? What year of coil and power transistor? What year of gauge cluster?

It's a 90. Not sure on the rest. Never was a 1g guy so I don't know anything about them. Tried 2 different clusters so I'm assuming it's a tach wire.

What color are the wires for that harness?

Even with that I can't find it. Is the filter attached to the coil pack?

B-00 is for the noise filter that, if unplugged and missing or without the How-To fix linked above, the tachometer will not work. As shown in the layout diagram of the 1990 harness, the connector for B-00 is near the knock sensor and that for the EGR temp sensor. It has 3 wires running to it, two whites for sure and I believe (colorblindness getting the best of me here) a light green.

If you can't find the connector for B-00, make sure that your coil pack is a square 4-pin connector and your power transistor is only 6 pins rather than 8. That will certainly ensure you have the right harness for all this '90 talk.
