Hi guys,

My question is related to the following VFAQ BISS Adjustment article: http://www.vfaq.com/mods/BISS-1G.html
Can someone please clarify, how exactly terminal 10 should be grounded? I can attach a clip to the pin, but then where should I connect the other end of the wire to?

Sorry if this is a silly question, but I couldn't find an exact answer on the forum, and I'm worried not to short something.

Well...to a ground. You are trying to short it. To ground. Any metal anywhere on the car that has a direct electrical link to the battery ground. Or directly to the negative on the battery itself. There are several bolts in the interior that can be used most notably by the ecu but almost anything that bolts to the body...

Thanks a lot! This is exactly the type of answer I was looking for.

I was thinking of running a long wire directly to the battery terminal, but I guess it would be easier to just remove the plastic in the driver side footwell and find a bolt that's closer.
 
I clip it to a bolt or bracket near by. Just make sure its not got paint on of through it as it may not ground correctly

I believe that the metal frame that the ECU attaches to is bare metal and has multiple bolts on it, which should be fine to use?
That's what I'm thinking of trying out as it's easy to remove the plastic that covers it.

It is and that will work fine. Its a bit further away but useable. I just clamped onto the foot lamp bracket as its right next door to it. You got many options though in the area
 
Thanks for helping me out guys, I appreciate it! Tomorrow I'll go to the car and have a better look at everything in the footwell. If pin 12 can be used as a ground, then it would be the easiest option.
