GVR-4 BISS screw adjustment

So I know the adjustment for the biss screw should be with the fans off however a previous owner wired them to always be on while the ignition is on. I know I should rewire it but winter is a pain and I'm trying to wait it out until warmer weather. My question is can I still adjust my biss screw with the fans running or will it cause problems.

but first, what is the issue? why would you need to adjust?

Picked up dsmlink, so lowering the idle. It always idled high but didn't care to mess with it as it was previously running on a chip tune

Can you simply pull the fuse for the fans while you adjust the BISS?

I could disconnect the fans, however his wiring is very shady and at the moment it works, and I would rather not cause myself issues mid-winter. I know it needs to be fixed but things are brittle in cold and I don't have a garage to work in so the temperature is what it is... Trying to get it to the point where when it's spring I can just start on fixing throttle/load tune.

Just pull the fan relay pretty simple.
