my bushings are shot on the front end of my 91' GST, its got 280,xxx miles on it. I just ordered everything short of the subframe bushings in the energy suspension master bushing set, i got everything through road race. i heard the subframe bushings dont usually need replacement and dont make a big difference.

my question is are all the suspension bushings i need included in this kit or are there some that are not that i will need to order? the whole car is very loose and I want to make sure I get every bushing replaced. If there are some that I need that are not included in the master kit, please let me know which ones they are and their part numbers. or if someone knows where i can find a good diagram for all the bushing locations on the suspension to use as a reference that would be greatly appreciated. road races diagrams where just for the energy suspension bushings.

oh and i heard that i should not replace the bushings under the front struts due to problems of increased shock wear and noise, i dont even know if they are included in the energy suspension kits anymore. is this true, can anyone vouch for this, should i just replace them with bushings from the dealer if i was provided with a urethan one?

thanks in advance....

the main things that cause your suspension to feel loose and unstable are ball joints and tie rods. my suspension was very loose and worn out so i replaced the control arm bushings, sway bar bushings, ball joints and tie rods with polygraphite performance bushings and now the car feels tight and handles much better. i wouldn't be too worried about replacing the subframe bushings.

Ive replaced the tie rod ends, but not the ball joints. the car is loose and rattles around at all 4 corners of the car. it just feels like the front end is going to drop out from underneath me at any time on a bumpy ass road, feels like a little more than ball joints. from time to time i hear a popping sound when going around turns, so I know my bushings are shot.

Well replace the bushing since you have already bought them, and install them, and take it out for a spin and see if its about the same, or if they fix it, post your results.
