1g brakes on a 2g

Alright guys, quick and dirty. 2g Awd Talon. I've got my exhaust situated and am trying to get my brakes stopping properly. Went to remove the bleeder from pass rear tire, bam, sucker broke. My buddy has a set of easy outs we can use to remove it but everything looks beat, very rusted. On my 1g, I have new rotors, calipers and fairly new pads. Thanks guys.

Are you asking if you can put your rotors, calipers, and pads from your 16 onto your 2g?

the fittings for the lines are different, other than that everything will bolt up

Yeah, I'm going to take everything from the 1g to 2g. As far as the line go Ramen, should I use the 1g lines as well?

As far as the fittings are concerned, can I buy new fittings or do I need all new line as well?

If its a 93 awd 1g you can swap everything over or if you did the 2 pot upgrade. You need to use the line that's on the 1g calipers

Its a 92 fwd tsi juice. I've added all the parts up, and to buy all new brake hardware and wheel bearings I'm north of $800. If I can save by swapping my 1g stuff over all the better.

The rear brakes are quite different between the 1G and 2G due to the parking brake. The 1G's has a integral parking brake and the 2G's have a drum brake inside the rotor for parking.

Start saving up for the 2G parts. There isn't anything common between a 1G FWD and a 2G AWD brake system.
