1g BOV whinning

Has anyone ever had a problem with their 1g BOV making a weird winning, wistle noise at low rpm's. The noise drives me nuts and I am about to crush the valve a little so see if it goes away. Anybody experienced this noise before, and what did you do about it. The valve functions perfectly its just the noise that drives me nuts. WTF

The squeak noise is perfectly normal. Turn up your radio and don't crush the BOV unless you absolutely have to.

Mine whistles all the time, mainly under lots of vacuum like when I'm in gear decelerating at around ~3000rpm. I actually like the whistle though, and every girl that has been in the car has called the whistle "cute" !

i have the same problem with my 2g bov. it happened when i accidentally hit the revlimiter, right away i herd a whistle/whining (like a supercharger) only when i am accelerating.i dont notice any performance loss and from what i can tell from the stock boost (gauge )it is holding the same as before. i know i should get a new bov cause the 2gbov sucks but im tring to save money right now. any sugestions?

Get your 2g bov take it off smack it around, crush it, and then kick it to the curb for being a pieace of crap.

if you crush it, it will still whistle. i crush both of mines and they still whistle. So you may have to buy a new one.

When I used to have my T-25, I loved the sound of the 1G BOV (crushed, but didn't really make a difference in sound). Since I've upgraded to a 14B, it doesn't whistle all that much...I thought spool up would be a lot louder considering I have complete hard piping and the big ass FIPK but it was totally opposite.
