I purchased a crushed 1g BOV from a member on this forum and I think that it might be bad. I did a boost leak test and air is coming out of the BOV. Is there anyway to test the BOV besides the BLT? Is there anything I can do at all to fix it? I know that 1g BOV's are unservicable so does that mean I am SOL? If I am flanged for a 1g it means I can run a greddy typse S as well right?

how does the diaphragm seat against the seat? It should be up and down instead of seating on one side or the other... if it looks tweaked then chances are it wasn;t crushed correctly... also, i'm pretty sure there is a service procedure in chiltons, but mine is locked in the car

I wanted to also add that I've run into quite a few vendor IC pipes with warped flanges, but i ditched the factory BOV gasket, made my own, and added some black rtv... that fixed it up to 28 psi

Are you doing the test with the throttle plate closed? If it's closed, there will be insufficient pressure and air volume from the intake manifold to hold the valve shut....so the pressure in the piping will absolutely push the valve open.

If this is the case, move the pressure source for the valve to a source in the intercooler piping (temporarily).
