EDIT: Unfortunately this block I put this on is a non-turbo and does not have the knock sensor nub cast into the block. If you have a block with a knock sensor fitting/nub this won't fit.
It took me buying a few different block heaters before I finally found one that would fit in our tight coolant jackets. Kat's part # 10448. It will only fit in the freeze plug hole that is the 2nd one in on the back of the block. It is a tight fit in the block. This is a low spot in the block so it actually is a good spot for overall heating.
This is for 1G cars both 6 & 7 bolt engines. It will not fit 2g 97.5-99 split thrust blocks. I do not have any 2g 95-97.5 non split thrust blocks to test fit it on so I can't say if it will fit them or not.
