1g Ball Joint Removal

Just verifying, the lower ball joint on an 1g presses out through the bottom correct. I have used a c-clamp to press other ball joints by putting a socket that is larger than the ball underneath for holding the clamp. Usually ball will pop right out into socket. Has anyone used this method on the 1g's. Thank for any info.

Yes, I have. One came out fairly easy, the other needed a little more work. I actually used a hammer with a large socket and was careful to not mess up the control arm.

Can anybody give more details how to replace the ball joints on 1g? I think my passenger side ball joint is bad and I saw online that ball joints can be found for $15.

Is it doable or should I have it done in a shop, and how much is a reasonable price to have it done?
