so i had my car up in the air today...and found out something quite interesting. i looked it up a bit on the vfaq too. there is a nice spray of oil on my exhaust parallel to my u-joint from the t-case to driveshaft... alot of spray to. what will i need to replace so it stops leaking??? any and all help is appreciative. i wanna get this fixed asap.

also, when i left off the throttle as im going my car seems to give a light discreet bucking and you can hear like a distinct sound that raises and lowers with the bucking that the car is making. any help with this as well would be awesome. thanks

Sounds like the recall. Any mitsubishi dealer will fix for you free of charge Ive had it done took them 1 day since they had all the parts. here is a link to further assist you http://www.dsm.org/menu.epl?item=339

haha, yeah. They'll do it free of charge IF it's never been done before. But since the recall came out 8 years ago, chances are it has been. And if it's been done already, 99.9% of dealers are going to tell you where to go and what to do when you get there.
Which is exactly what happened to me about a month ago. My tcase LOCKED up on me, I called several dealers, Chrysler canada and the NTSA, they all told me I was shit out of luck because the recall was done in 98.

Because of the nature of the recall, it is a lifetime replacement; even if it has been done before. My balljoint boots seperated after 10k and I brought it back, complained, and they replaced them again at no cost.

If your dealer fails or is unable to remedy this defect without charge and within a reasonable time, you may submit a written complaint to the administrator, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 400 Seventh Street, S.W. Washington, DC 20590, or call the toll-free Auto Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.

yeah i just called the dealer and talked to someone in service. told them i believe theres a leak at the brass plug and that i had also heard from many that it was a recall and he sounded dumbfounded and didn't know what i was talking about (concerning the recall) none the less i will be bringing it down there hopefully within the next hour or so and im also going to talk to him as well. is there any where i can official information on that recall? in case they feal like giving me a hard time. thanks :thumb:

forget the info i needed on the official recall info. i found it at the nhtsa.com website. and it clearly states the recall. so i hope there will not be any trouble at manchester mitsu. :thumb:

Try telling them that, I told them that. It's a safety recall, it can be done as many times as needed. They told me what I said in the last post, it's been done, it's not a lifetime warranty recall etc etc, blah blah blah I'm shit out of luck.

CyberEye - call the number or write the address that Doug99RS listed in my link. I'm sure the repair order all depends on the dealership and how well you complain, but if they don't help you turn to a higher power.
