Ever since I finished my 6 bolt swap, I have noticed that I have been leaking gear oil out of my transfer case. It seems to be leaking where it bolts up to the transmission. Is there a gasket between the transfer case and transmission that I am missing??? I recently replaced a seal in the transfer case. Thank You.

No gaskets just seals. If you take your transfer case back off you should be able to see where the fluid is coming from. Especially if you already notice the leak. Probably just a bad seal.

I checked the new seal once already. Is there more then one that could possibly allow it to leak out?

Are you sure it's not tranny fluid leaking out of the axle seal? I had a leak down the middle of the xfer case and when I traced the leak it was coming from the driver's side axle seal.

Weird how you should mention this. I bought my car from a guy who actually went through the trouble of putting in a new tranny just before I bought it, but it was leaking gear oil from the x-fer case. Long story short the bearings in the output shaft werent there allowing it to move around and constantly leak oil. Its not that hard of a fix if this is your problem. you just pull off the outer case of your tranny and remove the vicious coupler and then you drop in 2 .25 inch ball bearings and it holds the shaft in place. This may or not be your problem, but it was what was wrong with mine. if it is i still have a huge bag of those bearings I would be willing to ship to you pronto. Just pm me if you want them. hope I helped.

Thank you all, and I will be sure to check the axle seal inside the transmission.

One more question, Can I replace this seal with the engine and transmission in the car?
