Just picked up a 1g fwd with no transmission and wanted to know what is needed to make a 1g awd transmission work on a 1g fwd

^ beat me to it.. also you could eliminate the VC and take out the output shaft to the transfer case (and plug the whole of course), if you plan to keep it FWD mode for ever.

Is there any write ups on how to do this?

Can you do it without welding the center diff. or do you have to weld the center diff. to get 50/50 power ratio between front and back outputs in order to drive the front wheels?

If you weld the diff. will it drive both front wheels equally? Will this cause turning issues?

Why not trade it for a turbo FWD transmission?

Does this also apply to automatic trans converting awd to fwd?

You can not do it without welding the center diff, UNLESS you get a spool (which would be the same thing) from TRE. Yes, it applies to auto or manual transmissions.

You will also need an awd starter plate and awd flywheel. Clutches are inter-changeable.
