Hello hello? Ok short and sweet,I have My 92 Awd on Eibach sportlines w/brand new KYB struts. Now no matter what I do it bottoms out too easy! Way too easy and not a small bottom either A BIG ass BANG.Now my question is these Eibachs are like 1.8" am I outta suspension travel? Are suspesion parts hitting?Whats the deal. This is the second set of struts on the car. It did this with brand new PepBoys struts too.

The car only has 66,000 miles and on a jack all the bushings are tight ass hell,I mean no play!!

Actually, they were so dry rotted I just threw them out completlly.

Thank for the help,though.

No theres none in there.Do I really need em?I thought if it made it down that far that other things would hit before a bump stop.

1. Put the bump stops back in. You should cut them down a bit, but put them back in.

2. Welcome to the world of lowered vehicles. My car is about 2 inches lower and I have to be careful on bumps and pot holes. Its just the way it is with certain suspension setups. I have GC on AGX's and I might go with a set of Koni's in front because they have a shorter body for more travel when lowered. You could also go bling and get some JIC's. A local guy can slam his car and still have full travel because of there design.

So either learn to drive carefull in certian situations or save a good chunk of change.

absolutely put them back in, i have the same set up you do and did the same thing once i put the stops back in, all is well now

Shit,I threw them dry rotted thigs away.Well if its that unanamous that i put them back, where can I get a new pair? Short of letting the mitsubishi dealer burn me.? :thumbdown

tirerack.com or maybe a local auto parts store, i made mine out of large rubber stoppers for a sink.....uh....dont do that

I have the 1.8 eibachs too, smashed the hell out of my front bumper, i know your pain.

I bought my replacements from NAPA. Yes you need to have them. Those are to prevent the strut from bottoming out. Also this time around you are going to have to purchase a better strut for the amount drop you have. KYB GR2 are not made for servere drops and AGX will void the warrenty if you drop the car that low and blow them. Your best bet is to go Koni yellows. They are designed for a lowered supension

Remember to trim the bumpstops, actually, cut them half way before you install them. :thumb: You also need to re-learn driving a lowered car. No more flying over railway tracks etc. Start saving up for some good shocks since you WILL be blowing those GR2's soon. ;) :shhh: Get Koni yellows at least for the front.

Thank for the help this thing is really bad,I think maybe the struts are already blown,It bottoms out on the ripples in the beltway!!Any way I'm on search mode for the cheapest yellow koni's I can find..

Thank to all for the help.
