:hmm:Have the car up on a lift and indeed the drivers side axle is basically rubbing the oil pan. I've searched and seen threads from 8 years ago on this subject. The Intermediate shaft bracket wont thread all the way into the block. I've read that people put washers in place of an old A/C bracket that use to be there to shim it out. I'm only worried because my axle is literally crooked going towards the Hub. Insight from those who experienced this first hand?

If it won't go flat than you are using the wrong bolts, The hole closest to the transmission should need no washers. The other one will need a few to shim it.

I've had success using some washers to offset the space where the AC bracket used to be. Just make sure you're using the correct length bolt and make sure to torque it. Here is a pic of mine.

You must use the factory bolts, they have a locating dog on the end, and a special shoulder to locate the bracket. Make sure to measure the thickness of the a/c bracket, and use some washers, and a sander to get the exact thickness. If the bolts wont thread into the block, check to see if there aren't broken off bolts stuck in the block.

I believe the Jay Racing Alternator relocation kit also accommodates for this gap in the axle mount since it puts the alternator in the factory AC location. It's not the most amazing mod I have ever done to my car, but as far as getting that belt off, to pull the water pump pulley when I'm doing timing, amazingly easy. I recommend it for every car without AC and no I don't own stock.
