Believe me, I have used the search extensively.

I'm trying to pull the oil pan from a 92 Laser AWD. My chiltons says leave the propeller shaft and drive shaft installed and remove the transfer mounting bolt.

Just by looking, there is a lot more than one bolt holding the transfer case in. Can anyone give me a little clarification. Don't want to just start pulling bolts and have the whole assembly come apart.

Thanks.

There are actually 5 bolts holding the t-case on, they're kinda in a star pattern. Two on top, two on the bottom and one in the front. Remove those then carefully pull the it towards the driver side of the car and it will slip off the drive shaft (and fall down). It's really not complicated at all.

Thanks, tha'ts what I thought. Finally found another thread that says there is 4 long bolts, 1 short one. Usually yhe chiltons is dead on, guess this was one of those times.
