I have some questions. I have a 1G GSX AWD and its body is in bad shape. i mean close to totalled. I know after a vehicle is in a accident, that it will not ever drive the same. Question is I want a 2G now and wondering what parts I can keep off the old car and use in the 2G? Obviously the 6-bolt engine, but what about the transmission and differential? I found a GST for $1100 and i want to convert it to awd. so im wondering if ican reuse some of the AWD parts from the 1G or just part the 1G out?

the front brakes will go from car to car. It would be an upgrade if you buy a GST since the 1g awd comes with dual piston calipers and the gst comes with singles. The rear brakes are different however. They dont use a drum in rotor type deal. Other then that pretty much bolts go from one to another (cant ever have too many bolts!

Converting to AWD is not an easy task by any means. Best to find a car that is already AWD. You better be experienced in fabrication and have a AWD donor car to take pieces from.
