19x8 35mm offset ...will it fit?

I have a friend that just picked up some 19x8 axis mod rims in a 35 mm offset. Im thinking about getting them, but don;t know if thell fit. I don't have any suspension mods but i was thinking about...

225/35/19 tires
h and r sport springs
tokico blue shocks

What do you guys think? will the rims fit? what will i have to do?

im thinkin it'll clear the knuckle, but will the body be ok? Will i just have to use a bat?

Correct. It'll clear the knuckle by a lot, but will probably require that the rear fender lips be rolled. So why not get some wheels and tires that will make you faster, instead? (Sorry ... couldn't helpt myself.)

autocross....lightweight rims....i've been there.

With this car, I'd like to go more toward the "looks" side. I would have gotten 18" which is plenty big for me, but I found the Axis mods at nerarly 1/4 the price.
