I know everyone hates bench racing but want to know what everyone thinks of this race. I have a DSM but also a 99 Trans AM WS6. My buddy wants to race my Trans AM in his 90 TSI AWD. His mods from my knowledge consist of forged internals, Garrett 50 Trim, Magnus Intake Manifold, FMIC, and of course all bolt ons. He said he is running 24 psi and on c16. So I’m not sure what that would make but I was figuring somewhere in the 350-380 range. He also has some weight reduction, no beatseats, no rear panels, bumper supports removed and that’s about it.

My car is a 1999 Trans AM WS6 6 speed. It has a pretty high amount of mods including forged internals, ported stock heads, Thunderracing 236/230 Cam (.600 lift), 4.10 gears, adjustable suspension, BFG Drag Radials, Long Tube headers, O/R Y Pipe, SLP Underdrive pulley, ported TB, LS6 intake, Moser 12bolt, Upgraded clutch with billet flywheel… So a pretty bunch of mods. It made 394/389 RWHP on motor. The car also has a Dual Nozzle NX setup which I can either spray a 125 or a 250. I wasn’t sure if I would need the juice for this car. He wants to try it from a dig and a roll. I have only run the car at the track on motor in the 1/8th and it went a 7.90 @ 92 w/ 1.91 60 ft on Nitto D/R’s.

What do you all think will happen in the race? Me pull or lose? Should I spray him. 
 
I love dsms but if that WS6 is that worked and your asking who will win you dont deserve that car. His should be fast you should be (alot) faster.
Besides the WS6 is rated at 315hp (actually 320 by gm) So if you only got 386 comin out of it you need to kick your mechanic in the head cause he did somthin wrong. Dont wana sound rude but Did you buy the cars with those mods or due them yourself?
 
RULE#2 = No Bench Racing (though would like to see pics of the WS6 before this thread is locked) ;)

I’m not asking who would win on nitrous LOL. I know I would win no doubt about it. I just figured me on motor it might actually be pretty close if me not losing the race. I know I am a lot faster then him on nitrous, especially the 250 shot. But yes the car is built loose for nitrous with a cam that is good for force induction. It doesn’t make all that much power on motor. The car also has a 12 bolt and 4.10 gears which will take quite a bit away from the #’s on the dyno. It was on a Mustang Dyno also, so I don’t think the numbers are bad. Especially when on a 250 hit it made 659 rwhp/710 rwtq.

When I bought the car it had a few mods but I have done most of them myself. It had bolt ons and I added all the rest ie. Nitrous, cam, heads, suspension, etc.

Yea those 410s can kill you I ran them on my 69 bird. Bird looks good by the way, slap a supercharger on there and use the 250 as a back up. Then you could come race me :sneaky:

A: Bench street racing.
