I have owned multiple DSMs and fell in love with this car and body style since I first saw the 2G Eclipse driven by Paul Walker in the first Fast and the Furious movie. While I enjoy these cars a lot, I recently purchased a new Nissan 370Z and have plans to upgrade that car. Unfortunately, I do not have the space or time to maintain two cars, and would like to see the DSM go to a good home.

No accidents, and well maintained, however it has been sitting in my garage for two years due to not passing smog and I don't have the time or extra cash to get it road worthy. It will need a bit of love all around.
It may need a new clutch and serpentine belt, timing adjustments and needs a new air filter. Starts and runs. Tires are at about 50%.

I am open to any and all questions. I have videos and pictures I can send if needed.

Price: $4,500 obo

This is a rare, one-of-a-kind car. What used to be a classic but boring DSM Eclipse has become a beautiful, sexy, and quick head-turner. This is the car of the same year and model that was featured in The Fast and The Furious, with the same exact body kit!

Never been in street races or abused, well maintained and loved by a responsible driver. Regular tune-ups were always done on time and oil changes with synthetic oil.

This car looks great, sounds awesome and the turbo feels and sounds so good, it's addicting! The audio system sounds great.

I finally had a chance to get to the garage and clean things out so I could take some new pictures. See attached.

This is a project car and will need some work to become roadworthy and smog legal. Here's a rundown of recent updates.

Overall condition: Car has been sitting in the garage for over two years. I used to crank it twice per month but the battery died, and the serpentine belt came off some time last year so I haven't run it for over a year. I didn't have the tools to put it back on.
Exterior: Front bumper is off and stored inside the car, I have the bolts for it. Paint has chips and scratches all over. The body is in mostly great shape and with very minor work plus a new paint job it will look great. The headlights could be reconditioned or replaced.
Tires and Wheels: Front tires are nearly bald, rear are down to 2/32" tread. Brakes are probably still good for a while but I would replace them. Wheels will need to be polished or reconditioned.
Engine: Installed is a remanufactured 420A which has been upgraded with some reinforced internals, only has about 2,000 miles on it. Needs new serpentine belt.
Turbo: Turbo itself works, turbine shaft no issues. Turbo has about 55,000 miles and I would recommend replacing it along with the intercooler and piping because those have some rust (see pics). Boost gauges work fine. Turbo timer is missing - it was stolen long ago in a break-in theft along with two speakers and my 15" subwoofer in the trunk. The audio components have been replaced since then.
Transmission: The transmission is in good shape from what I can tell, however the clutch may need to be replaced as it does not engage. Pedal just hits the floor.
Interior: Overall in okay shape, some wear and tear. The upholstered roof is sagging - I was going to try fixing it with an adhesive but never got around to it.

Given the current condition of the car after my recent evaluation, I'm willing to let go of the car for a lot less than I posted it for.

As much as I would love to keep the car, I simply don't have the time or money to work on it and I really could use the sale proceeds to pay off some debt.
I hope it goes into good hands, with someone passionate about Eclipses/import tuners/Fast N' Furious.
