So obviously this is a project car, looking for suggestions on EVERYTHING to go into this car (paint, rims, new kit? whatever you have to say). I don't have the money to turbo it or believe me I would.

hows the maintenance on it.. is that all up to date? i use to roll with a nasty gsx because someone didnt do exterior upkeep or maintenance.. needless to say before i could do cosmetic stuff.. i needed to fix all the maintenance issues

well i recently blew a hole in the tranny... haha, but it's getting replaced next weekend (weekend after this one, March 5th) and I'm also getting a brand new clutch. but other than that it ran pretty solid. and yeah i was thinking white with black rims would look nice.

Awwww you have my car's cousin! Question.... what color is the hatch well or underneath the carpet? That could give you an idea of what color it came as. Come to find out, my car came as that "Celtic Blue Pearl" or whatever which come to find out is a pretty rare color. So that can give you a direction to go in as far as color wise. And I just invested some dollars into a stock 2gb bumper. Looks oh so smexy now. I got rid of the UGLY fiberglass green thing that was hanging on to my car with zip ties. No bolts, just zip ties. I swear I heard my car sigh in relief after I got the new one bolted up. And next... go to your local home improvement (Lowe's, Home Depot, etc.) and get some sandpaper. Couple packs. And get your car to one color (primer grey if you have to :p). Remember... "body" work (painting, sanding, molding, what have you) does not happen in 20 minutes. It is going to take a good number of man hours to have that car looking like it is supposed to. Go ahead and find you a new rear bumper too, get rid of the end piece of exhaust you got on there, and go with a single exit muffler. That will help your new OE bumper fit correctly :) But before you go spending too much money on exterior, make SURE that your engine running like a champ first. Do all your maintenence and replace anything that appears to be broken or on it's way out. It'll save you some headaches later on down the road. :thumb:

the owner before me had that area painted lime green because he was planning on doing the whole car lime green, but decided to only do door jams -.- but the original color as far as we know is just red.

I say put OEM bumpers on, OEM highrise "turbo" spoiler, paint it factory red, and throw a set of black rims on. Could look something like this.

Is that the dual oem GST axle back exhaust. If it is props to previous owner, but doesnt look like so thumbs down.

kidding, nice find how much you get it for.

I say keep it stock low rise wing is better, just my opinion cause I have low rise wing.

first off good to see another dsmer from boise idaho. i just i wish i was there instead im stuck in garbage hawaii for the next two years. ill have to agree with the clean white look ive seen quite a few rolling around and they look amazing and do yourself a favor and paint it yourself i just painted my first car this past week and although it is a huge learning process its better to have it done the way you want. then drive by the guys house that did that to that poor dsm and fill it full of lead.

Mooner, that body kit HAS to go, That is one of the worse looking ones I've seen even. Im glad to see you are looking to do that car some justice.

I don't mind the back so much, but the front I'll agree is horrible.

here's the engine - needs work, but where should i start?

Do I see a red dash :hmm:

Get yourself some oem headlights and bumpers, leave it wingless and get it painted whatever color you want. The engine bay actually looks pretty decent, I would give it a good scrubbing and repaint the valve cover. You could have youself a very clean, good looking dsm, just need to put in a little work.
