How would any of us know what is best for you, or what price you consider decent?

I got these 2 sets in my car i love them so clear. i just run them as highs tho and i only have the bass coming out of my sub but the bass comes out good out of them too. i could only find the ones i got for the front. I used audio pipe 6x8's in the back. but if i was you i would just get 2 sets of these so you don't have to modify the back speaker box's like i did if i knew i had to i would have just gotten 2 sets of these they would have fit perfect.:thumb: good luck and there way better then the stocks.

NEW 330 WATT 6.5" CAR AUDIO STEREO SPEAKERS APS1633 - eBay (item 300235295493 end time Jun-28-08 19:00:00 PDT)

I agree with dsm lover 96. those speakers sound very good and clear, i have those same 6.5's in the front and 4-way 6x9's in the rear(AudioPipe), and my subs kick out all the bass. Good sound quality also.

Are the stock speakers blown? If not, just keep them and save up for a turbo kit.:)

Just my .02 cents...

I use to think like this. I said screw audio, the stock infinity sound is good enough, and since I had a 95 we are the lucky ones with the multi band EQ and aux input so we can plug in mp3 players!

But once you hear not even a top of the line setup, but any kind of aftermarket that is setup PROPERLY, it makes driving, if this is your daily driver, much more enjoyable.

Obviously if it is your stripped down track only car, then yea its not worth it, but I'm assuming the oP's is a daily.

With that said, Steven Fry, you need to let us know how much you are willing to spend and what you generally want in a sound system.

You have an NT so I'm assuming you never had the infinity premium sound, thus giving you the crappiest stock stuff, and maybe not even have dash speakers. That right there should motivate you to get some kind of system.

You have an aftermarket deck so thats a good start. You're sound stage probably sucks as well as the quality assuming you have stock speakers and no dash speakers. At least with GST/GSX or GS with premium infinity setup, comes with amped component like front setup and decent speakers for the time.

So before we continue, you need to tell us what you want to do, and how much you are willing to spend. There are many paths you can take.

I like going with components on on the 2g. I ran just coaxial/2ways on the doors by themselves and I did not enjoy them at all. Perhaps it was due to the position of the speaker in our cars, but your ears will know what sounds better. If you are on a budget don't be afraid to use budget brands. I've setup Boss components in a few cars, and hell they weren't too bad. Way better than stock, better than 2/3way brand names because of better sound stage, separation and better fq production of highs and MIDs. and $30 from millionbuy.com Of course audiophiles will hate, but dont let that discourage you if you only plan to spend X amount of dollars.

HAH another budget setup you may even get for free is get the stock Infinity system from GS, GST/GSX. You get infinity speakers all around: dash, doors, rears, and a 4channel infinity amp with built in xover.
