I went to install an aftermarket deck into the 90 Talon TSI AWD to replace the stock tape player. I got the proper wiring harness, and that plugs straight into the cars wiring harness correctly. The problem is turn on the car and nothing happens. No power no response. The stock deck works 100% and the deck I am putting in works 100% in my truck. So I am wondering what may be going on, any help would be greatly appreciated. I asked an installer he said there may be an OEM amp or something of that nature interfering. Please give me a hand with this, it is my first DSM so I am just learning.
Thanks guys!

If you have an infinity system factory, there is an amp under the passenger seat on the 95-99's. You will have to send power to the remote wire on the amp. Take a volt meter and find the wires that have power on them when the key is on. then hook up the aftermarket deck and again check the wires for voltage. The same wires should have voltage. If there is one that doesnt have power that did with the factory deck, that is your remote wire. Hope that helps. If not PM me.

I doubt he has an Infinity in a '90.

The factory radio grounds through the chassis, so the factory harness has no provision for grounding an aftermarket unit. You may need to put in a ground wire.

Yeah, the wiring harness I got for it had a ground wire to ground to chassis and I had that hooked up. Tried like 5-6 different ground spots and nothing worked. The stock deck I have is the double din tape player with the sliding EQ on the bottom. Don't know if that helps or not.
Thanks for your help guys.
