Ok so I bought this car and it was not running so I got it running and come to find out it had spun the bearings. So I rebuilt the motor, and what do you know... 150 miles later it spun them again. I put a new crank in it when I rebuilt it. After this happened to me last night I decided to do a 4g64 block with my 4g63 head. I have a few pics of the car and the spun bearing. I took them with my phone so sorry if they are not good. I have not looked up any info on the swap but one of my friends has done it a few times for his talon and for other people. It needs a lot of work but I love this body style and I have the skills to do all the work. let me know what you think.

I had everything checked out before i put it back together, and everything was good to go.

I was looking online at different 4gxx motors and found the 4g69. The main questions I have are, will the 4g63 head fit on a 4g69? I know I will lose the MIVEC, but I am not worried about that. Is the 4g69 block better than the 4g64 block? I found a complete 4g64 motor at a local junk yard for $150, but if the 4g69 would be better i would pay the extra $200 and get it instead. Has anyone done this swap before?
