I have removed the plastic upper and lower pulley cover from my 4g63 and it is destroyed, what if any issues could arise from not replacing the covers and leaving the belts/pulleys exposed?

Worst case, rock gets between belt and gears, destroys belt and head.

In any case, dirt and grit gets on the belt wearing belt out faster due to the increased friction, eventually destroys belt and head.

Thank you for the info... the dirt and grit I thought of but brain farted the fact a rock, stick or other road debris could get jammed in the belt... guess I will be in the market for replacement covers....

Call around but youll find them in not so good shape for the most part, better off getting a new one spending the money versus getting a so so good one after its all said and done. Call vendors sometimes you can get a good deal just have to ask that's how I get 99 percent of my parts ask for discounts.
