03/28/20 - Tank install completed & first time running in months

03/29/20 - First time ever driving the car further than down the street - First time at the gas station

03/29/20 - After doing some testing and removing the ecu, found that the caps were leaking, and the ecu was bad

04/08/20 - Changed Engine Oil & Transmission Fluid

04/09/20 - Replacement ECU arrived & installed - First drive above 30mph

04/11/20 - First time driving the Laser to work

04/14/20 - Odometer hits 97,000 miles

04/19/20 - First time weighing the car, 3,180lbs - 3/4 tank w/ me & 1 passenger

07/16/20 - Separated Engine & Trans, Found original clutch, flywheel, and pressure plate bad

08/18/20 - Separated cylinder head from the block, found multiple bent valves and piston damage

10/13/20 - Cylinder head tear down begins...

wow ...checking timing belts are a must ...no matter what the previous owner or milage may say

@pat white I knew the belt needed replaced, was trying to work out some other odd ball issues I was having with the car first. Figured it would have held on in the mean time, but it didn't. Took a chance, went against my better judgment, and took an L this go around. So back to square one unfortunately, it can only get better from here!

It happens to the best of us, long as you are ready to go through the motor and redo it correctly, shouldn't be too bad!

@ThunderChild the entire car needs gone through front to back, top to bottom. It'll take time but I'll get her back to where she needs to be soon enough!
