This is the first DSM i ever worked on. I got it with 155k miles on it and a torn timing belt. 8 intake valves were completely bent. I got the head professionally rebuilt for $400 and replaced basically every gasket in the engine bay. It would not run, so i determined the turbo was stuck; completely stuck. I took it apart and rebuilt it with heavy engine oil and it spins great now with very little play. The alternator was not charging the battery, so i replaced the battery and alternator because i didn't notice the 80 amp fuse was not only corroded, but blown as well. So, I spent $200 fixing a $4 problem. Oh well. I painted a bunch of things and replaced tons of bolts. I replaced the drooping headliner as well. It misfires at idle, and im guessing cause of the coilpack. But I have dumped way too much time and money into this thing already and i have school to worry about in a few weeks. I am thinking about selling it for $3000. It is a 5 speed manual. What do you think?
