1G 1990 talon idle

I got a 1990 talon tsi the ither day and i have been driving it around no problem for the past few days, but then out of nowere i was driving and it started to die out like it wasnt getting any fuel, then when you revved it felt like it was hitting a brick wall. Now after letting it sit when i turn it on it runs normal for a few minutes then the idle drops below 1k and the cel comes on. What should i do?

Well the idle should be below 1k right at 750 rpms and first off what's the cel code.

Sorry typo drops to about 100 and the needle will bounce, i havent seen what the code is but if you rev it up the code will go away but it will drop right back down to 100

Possibly idle air control or maf issue

Possibly defective ignition coils or power transistor.

Just get the cel code and go from there. Instead of guessing at what the problem is and spending more money and time than is needed.

Yea there should be a rule on this site for people saying their car runs like crap but don't know why and have a cel unread. Not picking on you but it astounds me every time.
