I will be purchasing a 90 Galant GSX n/t with in the week. I was wondering, after reading the tech article will I be able to transplant the 4g63t into the Galant and be able to use the stock ECU (with adding the new wires to it)?

Do you need a 4g63 wiring harnes, or will the power plant swap right in without too much problem? I know that these galants are awd and N/T, but will you need the wiring harness from a 4g63?

After reading the forum from what i got from it they were saying that the 90's ecu is slightly different and may not work, But no i will not need the harness I can use the curent one but need to add some wires to it

Need to add wires or a few more circuts? There are a couple of aftermarket companies thet offer universal wiring harnesses with all the circuts you need, but If you don't need the harness then why bother..

I don't need the harness, I can use the current one just add curciuts to it. my question is if i can use the ecu thats in it?

You mean the stock Galant one? You need a turbo ecu. Probably the 90. The 90 is slightly different but the 91-94 turbo ecu can be used when you switch a couple wires. As far as what wires go where, I couldn't tell you that.

You shouldn't swap in a 4g63 turbo man...the gsx's are more rare than the VR4s...and you get better MPG...buy a VR4 if you're wanting a sleeper...You'll end up spending MUCH more trying to get to the stock numbers of the VR4...if you have more questions or want answers on other people's experience in your idea check out:
Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 Forum - E39A 4G63

they will have everything you need to make an educated attempt...but one recommendation is search before you start asking...unlimited information is at your will...good luck!

the ggsx is more rare and he's right totally more worht keeping na then turboing your in for a headache and tons of money. Dont ask for any opinions of galantvr4.org though there all turbo freaks and believe that N/T's should never have been made other than for dd. I myself am building my ggsx for autocross starting with all my suspension the doing motor work.
