One more goddamned leg-hump, and the thread goes to the trash.

Because after all, there's hardly any place on the web to find pr0n, we have to ask for it here, too.

the forklift makes it 100 times easier than a hoist... FOR SURE!!!

bah real men use a tractor, or at least i did LOL

The build looks awesome and you really got that thing cleaned up a LOT from when you first purchased it, props to you.

There will be more updates coming this weekend... I have alot to get done over the weekend!

I'm picturing a strawhat and a pulley screwed into a tree limb. Shade tree mechanic extraordinaire! :p

haha, now that would be hysterical ROFL We don't have straw hats in jersey though.

That Garage is a great place to do side jobs besides your project. Spread the word your the go to guy and let the parts pay for them self's! GF makes that colt look Good!

Nice pics!! Went to a 311 concert in Omaha at Memorial Park a couple of years ago.

Update:

Well I ended up building and fabricating the bracket for the 1st gen AWD struts and got them installed on the car... the car sits SUPER low in the back and looks pretty damn good :) It was quite a bit of work and took most of the weekend... I have some pics that I'll post along with cleaning the engine bay up...

the car is coming along nicely and I cant wait to get it finished up!!!

I would really like to see the car out by mid July now and in order to do that am going to skip on the cams intake manifold and fuel mods... I will get the car running with something a little cheaper than a gt35r...

I change my mind to much...

Andrew.

Could the money aspect be pursuading you to change your mind? If not than I say screw deadlines that you have put in place for yourself and build it right the way you want it the first time....otherwise you might regret it... I LOVE that you started this thread I think its killer what you are doing and wish I had the means to do something like this...I'm a diehard mopar fan so to see someone doing this to a colt rather than a mirage is pretty cool...definately get those update pics up:thumb:

HAHAHA very true:dsm::talon::laser: ....not being able to attend the biggest mopar show of the year for me is what the difference would be (mopar nationals in columbus ohio)...although he may not be interested in that I was just making a statement...some of the older crowd of the mopar "snobs" dont know there aint a bit of difference....btw I would love to see more dsm's there and honestly they are pretty well accepted and its always a helluva good time mingling with the old big block cars;)

I guess the main reason is to get the car running and get it moving... I'm thinking more of the lines of a sc6152. and just saving some money while still buying tires and etc etc...

the quickness will come.

Patience is a virtue.

Well, I feel the 440 wedge head started all this . . .

2650 Later the block is back and ready to get in the car!!!... Still need, Turbo, fuel, Cams, and an intake manifold!

What turbo again?

Are you looking at SMIMs or are you just going to rely on the ol' torquey stocker? If you're sticking with that 2.0 I suggest fp2X cams. The idle "thumps" hard, but doesn't die at 900 rpm. My light weight Flywheel does want to kill the idle, though. But even without ISC, the engine doesn't die. Yet, even at redline with the stock intake manifold the power doesn't drop off that bad AT ALL; good and flat. I lose about 1 lb/min with either the small 16g or the big holset h1c (about the same flow as a 20g). Below is a log of the loss in flow with the small 16g. It happens from 6500rpms up. The stock 1g intake has VERY good runner design. The length is in resonance with 272/fp2 style cams at 6500-7K. Considering how light the body is, you're money could be better spent elsewhere WRT the intake manifold.

GREAT build thread. Really shows how much fun building is. Operatic once you get a great powerband for that good ET, I say. You need more power under the curve to make up for FWD traction issues (contrary mainstream). Keep it up.
