190lph fuel pump

first of all i have a 2g talon tsi. Currently i'm running a 14b and other bolt ons I bought a 190lph fuel pump a while ago and i was wondering why i can't boost past 16 psi that's the same i used to boost with the stock pump so what would the problem be? do i have to buy the rewire kit? or a fuel pressure regulator? or is there another way? i just want to at least boost 18psi or so so that the front mount will help

id check for boost leaks the fuel pump shouldnt limit boost like that

Is it breaking up? It may have been an installation problem, such as an internal leak in the tank.

Are all the lines hooked up right to the MBC? Do you hit fuel cut after 16psi or does it not go past 16 psi? More info would help. I run 18psi easy on a t-28 with a 190f/p... you may have major boost leaks. Check all the piping couplers and BOV flange.

i can't go past 16psi i have the stock upper pipe with the biltz bov mounted with a custom coupler and all the other pipes are ok. so it might be the coustom mount on the blitz

That is what I would think, custom mounts tend to leak, at least for me. I have a good idea tha the one I use for my 1g bov leaks. That would be my first thing to check.

Yeah, the stock UICP with almost any custom or cheap BOV flange leaks, You can get IC piping pretty cheap on e-bay, lik 200 shipped for Greddy.
