i have a 95 gsx body with a 1g swap.
just have a 16g ,272's,and 190 lph fuel pump.

i had the fuel pump installed last month by a mechanic and all was dandy until today when it just started bogging down and then died on the freeway. the entire engine bay reaked of gas.

after sometime the car was able to run but i had to drive at about 20 mph till i got home. i try to turn it on now and it runs when it wants to but runs like crap the engine just goes "LUG LUG LUG LUG" till i stop giving it gas and then dies. it doesnt even sound like the engine is really running. once in a long while like once or twice a day in the last 5 days i tried starting it the car will idle fine until i hit 4k rpms then will bog down and die then continue doing the "LUG LUG LUG LUG" pattern. whats the problem here??
 
the engine sounds like its running on cylinder 4 only when it does the "Lugging" noise the far left from the timing belt Im on it guys, thanks for replying.
if anything would a video be good?
im thinking of uploading one to show.

Boost leak test?[/there arent any boost leaks.. i have a 95 ecu with 95 harness.
 
Could check the lines running to and from the fuel rail. With the slightly higher pressure from the new pump could of blown an o-ring or gasket. Probally something simple, but old and needing replacement.
 
Yeah It seems as if it doesn't get any spark after a few cranks like as if it's flooded. Can an fpr go bad? I get spark in all coils and spark cables . It has the round 1g camshaft sensor in a 90 degree angle with the plug facing the passenger . Could a fuel filter get plugged up so bad it gets clogged? I'll work on it to
Tomorrow after work around 12 pst and post a video, pictures of my bay and stuff.
 
UPDATE*

Ughh finally got er' running!
It happened to have not been the fuel pump but a bad injector,bad coil pack AND bad power converter (little black game boy cartridge sized chip) i removed the fuel pump for nothing and it was a S.O.B because it was steel braided line. Now i will need a new fuel line .
i had a 2g coil pack and bracket laying around from my old 2g and some injectors from an old 1g.
it runs amazing now.. i bought this gsx for 2000$ with a brand new 6 bolt long block a waly 190 ,272 hks cams,tial external wastegate,real 16g and all sorts of other goods . a very good investment indeed.
it has not ran in 2 1/2 years until now...just gotta wash the fuel tank out,oil change, replace a few sensors and fuses. happy happy happy
