Just got an awesome deal on some 18x9 +35 offset rims and I need to know how safe I'd be running 245/40/18 tires.

I did the backspacing calculator and with 245s it comes out to 6.7xxxx.

235s comes out to be 6.5xxxx.

Would I be ok running the 245s or should I stick with the 235s to be safe?

I read that the 97-99 models had a revision that adds some clearance.. But the calculator doesn't reflect this.

Also, I understand that there are many things that could affect rubbing or not.. My main goal here is to find others who run these specs with no issues.
And yes, I have seen the threads with people running 18x9.5s with 245s..

Suspension is stock but I plan on a 1.5 inch drop eventually. I can roll the fenders if necessary.

Here is for anyone who wants to know how I got the calculations above.

Cool, I think that side will be covered with 245s.. But do you think I'll need to do some fender rolling to make these fit with 245s?
