18x8 Rims

Ok guys so I am really close to pulling the trigger on these rims. They are 18x8 +30 offset Kosei K1 TS. If I told you how much I would get them for, you wouldn't believe me. There is one thing scaring me though. The guy I am buying them from told me they are 350z lug pattern. Now I am scared because I read in another thread that the center bore of 350z rims is slightly smaller than a 2g's. Do aftermarket rims also account for this? IS there a way to tell what the center bore of the rims is?

i can't give you a 100% yes or no answer but i can tell you that my wheels are OEM evo IX enkies and the center bore is EXACT to my OEM hub on my 2g. i know this because my wheels are powdercoated and getting them off can be a PITA because with that extra thickness on the wheel they get stuck to the hub via the centerbore. with that being said evo IX guys run these Kosei K1 TS wheels all the time, atleast around here, with no problems and it seems to me they have the same centerbore as the DSM's.
hope that helps? id love to see these rims on a 2g...

Thanks for the info. I will post pics when I put them on. I went with 18's since I am FWD and I guess bigger rims are better for the highway. I am just debating whether to get 235/40/18 tires or 245/40/18 tires. The price difference is around 50-70 dollars in total price. So is it worth it?

if your running a less aggressive spring like a prokit so you know you won't rub then HELL YES. :hellyeah: wider is better, always...
i feel like im advertising my car but after you get these rims put on a set of rally armor mudflaps and the tires look even beefier...

Ahhh I think you convinced me to go bigger LOL. Your car is ridicolous btw LOL, so clean.

Ok final question before this madness ends. I am down to either the Eibach Prokit or the Tein H. Tech springs. The prokit advertises 1.3" drop while the H. Tech advertise a .9" drop. I think the Teins are slightly softer. Which ones do you guys recommend. I have heard about the prokit from gofer but anyone have experience with the H.Tech?

Here are some pics of the rims. They are 18x8 with a +30 offset. They will be mounted on some 245/40/18 Bridgestone RE960 as tires. I guess wider is better. Now to try to make them fit. The car is going to be painted also but can't decide on color (blue, black or red). The interior is the black and tan one but I have more black than tan since I got it re-upholstered. So any opinions on what color to paint the car and lets hope the pro kit is high enough so that I can fit these bad boys LOL.

Sorry to distract from the subject at hand I just started laughing at the second pic with the little kid with no pants. Nice rims by the way!

Hahahaha yea that's my 2 yr old nephew who follows me everywhere. Another question I had was if I get an alignment done, do I need a 2 wheel alignment since I'm FWD or a 4? Also, will I need a camber kit if I put these rims and tires on wit a pro kit?

Some Enkei RPF1 look-a-likes... NICE CHOICE! I love those wheels. You'll want a camber kit on the rear suspension because you'll get Honda squat if you don't. Of course alignment on all four corners is necessary as well, Firestone runs a lifetime alignment deal for $150. I get an alignment done everytime I get my tires rotated and after 2 alignments its already paid for itself.

Ok sounds good on the alignment and which rear camber kit do you recommend? And these rims are Kosei K1 ts 18x8. They weight even less than the rpf1. So they arent exactly knock offs LOL.

Thanks snowboarder...Definitely looks doable. Now let's hope these fit with a pro kit. I am even thinking about the H.Tech Teins because they offer a .9 drop and oppsed to the 1.3 from the pro kit.

Hey guys, just thought I should update this. I ended up going with 245/40/18 tires and I put them on the car to see how they fit. The car still has the tokico springs which are a 2" drop. The Tein H.Techs are on the way. Looks like even with the 2" drop they do not rub on the fender yet. They are close though. The rims are 18x8 with a 30mm offset. They do not stick out at all. Here are some pics. Don't mind the rusted rotors LOL. The car hasnt been moved in a while.
