18" Tenzo's with 225/40 tires will they fit on my 2g ?

Sorry if this has been asked before, I just can't find much info on this size rims on 2g cars.

I decided to get the 18"x 7.5 Passion 5 Tenzo's with 225/40/18 tires, the rims have 42mm offset I think, I sure don't want them to rub. Does anybody have this kind of set up? I don't know if it's any different because they are "deep dish" don't know if this affects offset in any way.
Should the offset be changed to a 40mm to a better fit or will spacers work?
or is it the other way arround and need to be closer to 38mm and spacers if needed?
I'm kind of lost and need some help from you guys.

i got 18 in Tenzo Shu 10s w/ 225/40 kumhos and theyre fine. i dont have a suspension yet but one of my boys got a 95 with pro kit and tokicos with same size wheels/tires and they dont rub at all. you should be fine

Check out my gallery I had 18" x 7.5 on 225/40/18 42mm offset. No problems with rubbing and fit flush with the fenders. Great looking rim though, had to take them off because all 4 were bent from one winter. :thumbdown

Wait till all the potholes are fixed before you put them on

Sorry to hear about your wheels man, sounds like they get bent pretty easy, is that so?

Is anybody else having problems with their Tenzo R wheels as far as bending, now that
C6J9R mentioned all of his were damaged or bent on some winter potholes I got kinda' scared about them. I mean all of them on one winter, seems like Tenzo's wheels aren't very strong at all.. so please anybody that has Tenzo's reply and comment..
