+45 offset with 225/40/18 tires work or no??

i saw these rims online that i want and they are 18 x 7.5 with +45 offset with tires of 225/40/18...the car is lowered 1.5 inches. I think stock is +46? so wanted to know if it will rub and would i need to cut anything?

from my gathered information, you should be all set. Just slap those bad boys on and post some pics. You shouldn't have any fitment problems, despite your 1.5" drop

Again this is my collected information from dsmtuners, vfaq, and other sources. I don't have a setup with that specification, or any aftermarket wheel/tire setup at all. But I am sure enough in my findings that I am going to order some 18x7.5" +45mm wheels with that same tire size.

You won't rub the rear knuckle, but, depending on the thickness of the shims in the rear -- you have spaced out the rear upper arms, right? -- you might need to roll the rear fender lips.

My car is wearing that wheel/tire combo, and it fits fine. I did have to roll my rear fenders, because it was rubbing on hard cornering and big dips. You may not have to, depending on your "drop".
