I already searched on here. Pretty sure these rims will fit. I do not plan on lowering the car very low/lowering at all.

17 x 8, +35mm offset, 5 x 114.3 bolt pattern

Tire size will either be 235/45, 245/40, or 245/45
(any recommendations on which of these, or any size is best?)

Our bolt pattern is 5x114.3:p
I'd say 235/40, but its going to look like you bought a lift kit with that small of a sidewall. If you don't lower a 45 should fit.

*waiting for confirmation from wret*...........

Woops. I look like such a nOOb for messing up the numbers like that.

Also. I hear that the 225/45 series tire is about the stock diameter. Any issues with running this size tire on 17x8 rims?

Yes, a 225/45 is very close to stock. 225 may be a tad on the skinny side, but would work. Have you checked out vfaq?

Holy crap. I have been searching this site for 3 days now, and didnt run across that

As for the tires, I'd prefer to have a litte more tire on the rim.

Just as an example; on my CRX, I run 205/50/15 on my RPF1s.

I would go with the 235's as a first choice, then the 225's. Either is a good fit on an 8-inch wheel. The 245's will stick out a bit much with +35mm offset; almost half an inch. And with 245's, you must choose to go with a diameter that is a bit too big or too small.

So 235/45/17's are good for a 2g AWD w/ stock suspension? I know that page says that its pretty close to suspension, so may that pose problems later on down the road?

My rims are a 17x7.5 w/ a 35mm offset. My tires are a 225/45 and if I lower the rear any more it will rub on the fender. On the rear I can fit about 1 1/2 fingers between the tire and the wheel well.
