You wont ever have a fast car. Even with turbo or nitrous. On turbo like others pointed out you won't be able to run but about 5-8 psi max. the high compression pistons won't allow it. I new a mechanic who tried this for shits and giggles and every time he boosted over 8 psi he would blow the head gasket. He tried it 3 times just to be sure. you will run times of about 15.2-15.5 which can be had with a stock turbo car. which does not make sense to dump hundreds of dollars on your non-turbo and for it to justify a low 15 sec. time. And before someone says that there are plenty of n/a out there that are fast, yes its true there is but these are built 420a motors not stock. I have a friend that has a built 420a with a t3/t4 turbo and runs 13's so it is possible but not on a small budget and far from stock at that. Like others suggested there is nothing wrong with having a n/a dsm but don't expect to be fast on a budget. my opinion, like others say, pay off your car enjoy a dependable n/a dsm and buy a 1g turbo to play with. believe me owning a turbo dsm, you are gonna need a second car.
