My car is being put back together with a fresh OEM 6-bolt and a big 16g. I'm kind of concerned with my fuel set-up and need some help. I have a GM maft setup, and have some 680's and a walbro 255 waiting to go in. i only want to run about 20psi on this new set up. I was planing to just leave the 450's and 255 in untill i have enough cash to get my ecu chipped for the 680's and get a logger, wideband, afp regulator.

So my question is can i run 15psi with 450's and a 255 without hitting fuel cut?

i would stick to around 15lbs at most without bigger injectors. I been currently running 15lbs, evo 3 16g, 450's and a 255 for the past week without a problem, but i also have a logger and wideband (i also have a afpr but it currently isnt hooked up). But tomorrow im putting in my 680 thou since i remember i do have them in the garage LOL and hooking up my afpr again. But i would definitely get bigger injectors cause your gonna work the hell out of the 450's and its better to be safe then sorry.

Well you dont have a way to tune, a way to log, and no fpr to regulate the 255. Dont worry about fuel cut, worry about all the knock you dont know about and all the extra fuel being squirted. At 15 psi your idc will be high also. To be safe run the 450s, and the 16g at 10psi.

10 psi sounds like the safe way to go! I dont want to beating on my motor just yet. I do have some 680's waiting to go in but i want to wait until i have all the necessary parts. Would i reduce the possible knock by leaving the stock fuel pump in until i have everything? I only want to run it like this for about a month or two.

Soon I will be getting:
Wideband
SafcII
Fpr
Pocket logger
Chipped ecu

Anything higher than 14psi or so and you'll be seeing 100% IDC's most likely.

Why not throw them in and adjust the MAF-T for them?

I was thinking about doing that but i don't have a wideband or any type of logger. Id rather wait till I get my ecu chipped.

I'm running a 16g right now with stock boost levels and am getting around 95% IDC @ 5500 RPM with stock 450's. You REALLY need an AFPR with that 255, you'll be overruning your stock regulator...

Well, I commend you for that thinking. There are very few people who would have the self control to do that.

If you plan to wait, I would leave the entire fuel system stock. Then install the pump, AFPR, injectors, logger, tuner, wideband, and anything else at the same time.

Yea I think ill be better off just waiting till I have everything together. Since installing the 255 wont benefit me any, ill just leave the stock fuel system in for now. I haven't driven my car in about two months so I just want to drive her again. LOL I've been pretty depressed.

My daily is a 99 Astro ROFL

So with the stock fuel system in I should be fine as long as I keep the boost under 15psi?

Thanks for all the help guys!:hellyeah:
