16g manfiold to turbo bolt hole stripped

The front right manfold to turbo bolt is stripped out on my EVO316g. What's the easiest thing to do: Tap the hole to a larger size, helicoil, or get another hotside housing for it. Also if anyone has a housing they want to sell PM me and let me know. Thanks!

I would bring it to a machine shop and have them tap it for the next size bigger bolt and have them drill the manifold bolt hole to match, that cast iron is almost impossible to drill through in my experiences.

You can take it to get tapped or do it yourself Or you can find a longer bolt/nut and use a washer to tighten it up.

Like said before, tap it or replace it. I can imagine a 16g housing is not that hard to find.

In my experience with tapping out the holes on a turbo, I was always able to tap if for the exact same size as the original bolt. It seemed to me as if the cast iron just shredded bolt you but in because of crap left over from previous bolts (metal shavings in the threads). I would start with a tap the size of the original bolt and go with that first and see what happens.

There is a guy on the link forums selling a brand new MHI hotside for 250 shipped. Just an option if you can get on there. If not guess it time to break out the old tap and die set.

Drill out the bolt, and use an m8 bolt, and nut. When that seizes, just break it, and both halves just fall out.
