ok ive been reading alot on the 16g on a 2g Dsm.I know i need a j pipe and a new oil feedline.I have a stock j pipe that i bought from ebay and i also have a ss oil feed line. From what ive read thats pretty much all i need to do a home install.Im gonna re bend the water lines and i have new gaskets. But my Question is about the j pipe.all i need is that J pipe and i can use my stock pipe for now right?????? This is what i have.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...&item=7947062780&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEWA:IT To me it seems that im missing something.

You will also need some radiator tubing to get you from the j-Pipe to the side mount. I used a section from a 1G intake i had laying around. I cut it to the length i wanted then routed it downward to the stock 2G intercooler piping i cut that up some and shoved the radiator tubing inside. secured with duct tape and a worm clamp. Holds just fine :)

So u mean i need a pipe from the j pipe to the smic.Im going to use my stock hose that connects the smic to my t-25.Is that what u mean.

Your really shouldn't skimp out on the Jpipe. If you use a 1g Jpipe, its going to be really short and your piping is going to have a big kink on it. Just spend the $50 and get a good Jpipe that has a better bend and is longer. Besides for the Jpipe, you should replace all the gaskets/crushed washers with new ones.

hey didn't you see the link he provided? he didn't really skimp out on the jpipe...it cost him $56 bucks total for a stock 1g jpipe OMG

my mistake, I ment to say extra $50. I didn't noticed he bought it already but $50 for a stock Jpipe is pretty expensive. The thing necks down to pretty damn small. He won't get a kink as long as there are enough bends on the flexable pipes.

Unfortunately, Spanky, it does look like you got taken on the stock 1G pipe. What you should ideally have is a specifically-designed two-piece (or three-piece in the case of the Dejon Tool pipes) piece lower pipe set that, along with some pipe couplers, goes all the way from the compressor outlet to the SMIC. Besides the aforementioned Dejon, other vendors such as RRE and SlowBoy also sell these. I know you'd rather not buy anything else at this point but that really is the best solution. Maybe you can find one used for cheaper, like here in the classifieds.

I know i over payed way to much for it.Its because i use a sniper program that bids for me and it over bid complety to high.I only wanted to pay like 20 bucks. But oh well what can i do.Thanks guys.Im gonna try to use what i have so far.If i cant get to work then ill just drop down to homedepot and make something to make it work.
