The only kind of additive I would use in my motor is Seafoam or Mopar Combustion Chamber Cleaner. You can use some Seafoam to suck into the combusion chamber and poor some of it into your oil as well. Works wonders.
 
Personally, I would use MCCC. I use it quite frequently. I call it Jesus Juice. I have had only positive results from it. I just called a local dealer, and they ordered me some. Wasnt that expensive.
 
I use MCCC usually whenever I do a fair amount of upgrading to cars.
 
I use it about once a year...Just depends sometimes. Last time I got my car tuned on the dyno I went about 8 months, then used it, and it didn't really clean it out. Everything was already pretty clean from the tune.
