how much do highway miles wear out an engine? much less than street driving im hoping, but id like a more knowledgeable opinion. thanks!

Highway miles are always considered to be less wear and tear on a car and engine. It requires less stopping/starting, and everything else that goes along with it.

i should have been more specific, but i was only concerned with the actual motor of the car. reason is i commute to school (its a good 30 mile drive), and i have plans for more or less 300whp in the future, so im wondering if highway miles would play a big role in wear on the engine with my whp goal in mind. thanks

You are stressing the motor more from the initial starting of the car and driving in stop and go fashion, then you are at 3k on the highway. 300whp is EZ, its all about maintanance. Your motor will be in as good condition as you treat it.
