Ok, so i got a set of 15" enkei rims recently there in really good shape practly new for 25 bucks a peice, no lie paid 100 for them all, i was woundering if it would be ok to run these on my 1991 GST, i know i would have to run 15/60/205 tires to keep my speedo exact but will 15" look ok on a 1g with stock suspension? not the best pics but i posted some. sorry for the big pics but all i got.

are you sure your tire size is right i think the stock 14 in tires ran 185/75/14 and the general rule of thumb would be to add 10n subtract 10 for the tires when you go up in size so wouldnt you need 195/65/15s. i know the stock 16s were 205/55s? i dont see any reason why you couldnt run them as long as the offsets are right. you can run any size you want as long as the off sets are right and they fit in the wheel well.

they are the stock 16" swirlys on it now the tires are 205/50/16, which is stock. and what you said is right minus 10 plus 10, so i would have to get 195/60/15 to fit the enkei's and keep the car at stock ride hight and speedo.

measure inside diameter of wheel then measure diameter of calipers and rotor

LOL, i was just about to post that i will just measure the rotor like you said and see about fitment, but back to my original question, will it look good with 15"s its a down step from stock 16"s but an upstep on looks. idk i just dont want to put money into tires and lugnuts and end up not liking the way it looks , (ride hight and stance and etc.)

On your 91 with the factory calipers it WILL work. I had 14 inch rollers on my 91 while I was building it.
thanks, that saves me from pulling the stocks of for now LOL, (ima laze bum:shhh:)
15's Enkie on a 2G

thank you for pics, not exactly on a 1g but it gives me perspective on the tire wall width and what not, i think mine will look good on my 1g seeing how you have 15"s on a 2g and they have more fender well space than a 1g, thanks again for all you guys' help.

Yeah not a big fan doesn't fill the wheel well enough for me but as a lot of people have said on this site in the past the only opinion that matters is your own. So if you like it throw those 15s on and go for a cruise.

That's a lot of rubber....
Exactly, (insert evil grin here) LOL

Yea true, to each his own, but there's also a saying by forest gump, to each his own caca smells sweet, doesn't mean that others think it does. Lol but ya true I guess I will just have to put them on and find out.

You should flip the wheels, and buy some 16-17in wheels :)

I have stock 2g 16" wheels on my 1gb and it's dumped and I think they are to small I was thinking about 17" wheels to fill in my gaps

It's way to hard to sell wheels in my town, and I like these cus they where cheap for me even when I know they where like 200 a peice new. But fender gap is one of my concerns as long as it's not too bad I think I will like them.

You can always lower the car....That was my wife's 99 RS Oz, I had the rims left over from my son's 300z Turbo so i slapped them on. Once it was lowered we sold it. Looked good and road really nice with the extra cushion.

because i got them really cheap and they are new. plus you get more rubber so more road contact, beter traction, plus they dont wear as fast as tires would on bigger rims.

Not necessarily more rubber. You get more sidewall which gives you more cushion. Unless it is on snow tires, I have to disagree with the better traction and tire wear. I believe that would be the tire spec that you buy. If you want more rubber you need a fatter tire and less tread (IE. Slicks)....

I wouldnt pay anything more than 100 dollars for 15 inch rims that are used not much of a steal

i have 18" rims with low profiles and find they fill the wheel cavity nicely without even lowering it. My city is filled with rough roads, construction, and speed bumps, so makes it hard to lower it as much as i want to. I see that much rubber and think of a mud truck.
