Hey guys, it's been quite sometime since i've posted on this forum. I've had DSM's for a while, but there was about a 5 year period when I fell out of the DSM scene, but now i'm back.

I did a few searches and found that a 14b can use a 16g hotside, and i'm sorry if this subject has been beat to death, but I just wanted somebody to elaborate on it a little.

By a 16g hotside are we talking about any of the 16g's (small, big evoIII?) And is it just a matter of bolting it on with the v-band or is there anything special that needs to be bought, replaced?

Thanks in advance

Hey thanks for the reply. Yeah that one did help. From what I read it shows that a 16g hotside will work, it will cause a little more lag, but will help on the top end I believe.

You are correct sir. When I was running that set up, I loved it! Glad I could help:thumb:

You'll find one bro. They pop up. And its too easy to put together. Keep me informed on how you like it or if you run into any problems.

Yeah definitely. I'm in the process of getting rid of the T-25 and replacing it with a 14b. I've just been trying to do a bunch of research on everything that I'm going to need to get it done.

I've done a 16g on a 1g but i've never put a different turbo on a 2g so It's sorta new to me. So I'm just trying to make sure I get it right the first time since it's my daily driver LOL. Thanks for all your help. :thumb:

The lag will be worth the gain (or loss, LOL, in back pressure). It's pretty simple (14b with 16g 7cm2 hotside), you simply loosen the 10mm bolt holding the CHRA of the 14b to the turbine housing, swap out the 6cm2 for the 7cm2 and tighten the clamp back down. Don't forget to align the little dowel in there. That's all there is to it. Like I said, simple.

(figured I'd just add this for future searchers looking to swap the 7cm2 hotside onto the 14b CHRA.

Hey thanks for the reply, that helps out a lot!

If he were to swap out the compressor wheel too he would literally have a 16g turbo, LOL.
Hope you enjoy the 14b, i have one myself but i plan to port it and see what it does :).
