I just slapped together my 16G hotside on my 14b turbo. And when i clamped it together and went to put the wastegate on, the hole was smaller on the wastegate then the nub on the wastegate on the hotside... What should i do?? Port it out a little bit or what?? I thought it would be a slap on and go LOL.. Any helps appreciated thanks..

Yep just open the WG arm hole up a tad. You are using an ebay 16g turbine housing and thats why. I hope you ported the WG hole behind the flapper, because man that hole is small.

Drill the hole on the wg rod, to fit into the ebay hotside get a c clip.

For assembly, put hotside onto the turbo.Bolt that together. Then put the wg rod onto the turbine housing, install c clip. NOW get comfy and ready to do some pulling.. You have to get the wg pulled onto the comp wheel housing..Get one bolt threaded in real good. Then get the other part ready, thread the bolt in.

Then grab socket wrench and tighten then evenly down,DONE.

by preload he means to make sure that the wg flapper is fully closed with the actuator completely mounted.

Out of curiosity, why did you decide to switch to a 16g hotside??

I had an ebay 16g laying around along with a 14b and wanted to make a hybrid.. LOL :)

So i have a question, about the waste gate arm.. Is this fine?? I notice the arm is pulled out a little bit more on the 16g hotside.. then the one on my 14b hotside... here are some pictures to compare.. Is this okay?? Would this affect my waste gate from not opening enough??

Here is the stock 14b wastegate arm that i took off the car... to compare
