14b swap questions

Im puttin a 14b on my 2g in the next few weeks. Mods are type S, injen intake, SB performance clutch, boost gauge. What am i lookin to get in hp gains ect. Will this be simply bolt on (i know i need the j pipe ect) but i mean will i need to do anything else like tune? Or will i just put it on and gain 50hp ect.??

i recently just did the 14b swap (2 months) and its hella good for the price...im saving up for a big 16g now...the power increased just made me envy for more...im boostin 12 psi on my stock BOV and i just ordered a 1g and i saw a much gain in power boost kicks in at about 2400 rpm and stays til 7k and i noticed that whenever i get on it and boost over 10psi i get mad squellcing from the tires...so i tend o lay off the torque overall look for a 30-40 hp increase

get a boost controller,fuel pump 190 and some 550's to max it out(those r my next mods) on the stock intercooler i believe u can make around 18 psi also the install there is an install guide on VFAQ all you really need is a "jpipe,oil feed line and gaskets" u can reuse ur water lines and u may need a 1g return line not sure but def check out VFAQ.com look under the 16g turbo swap

i have a 14b and i love it i could tell a diffrence right off. with my boost set at only 11psi and my afc II set at zero across the bored it still felt ten times faster then my old set up boosting 15psi on the t to small. with it tuned and running 16psi it felt like a completly diffrent car. I would say def. go with a 14b I'm very happy with it. after i get done with my engine build i will prolly go with full garret otherwise i am sticking with it until im am ready to go with a huge turbo....there are members of this site that see high 11's and low 12's with them so they are very good turbo's....but i would get a dsmlink or some sort of tuning tool if you plan on getting alot of power out of it.

i would waste your time going to a 16g if you already went to a 14b i would try to save a little longer and go a bit bigger.....it just doesn't seem worth it to me....thats why i said im saving to go real big....cause i know if i go 16g im just going to want bigger after a little while
